Night Ranger (Smoker of the Year Contest entry)

Tim R. submitted this shot of himself and a Feather River king salmon for our Smoker of the Year Contest and man, I’ve got to say that we may just have a new leader!
By posting this, we of course assume Tim was fishing during legal fishing hours with legal fishing methods as outlined by the the Department of Fish & Game though we suspect otherwise.
In the event that some sort of F&G code violations occurred during the capture of this black beauty, we’ve got one thing to say….Tim who?
Either way, this fish gets high marks for its lovely midnight black color and perfect “jet stream.” Plus, you’re always going to score points in this contest when the inside of you king’s mouth is actually a lighter color than the rest of its body.
