Big Fred out of the $$ at Wal-Mart Open

After posting a good enough sack on day one of the FLW Tour’s Wal-Mart Open at Beaver Lake, AR to keep him in the hunt for a check, Orange County Choppers‘ Big Fred Contaoi had a tough second day.

“It was the first blank of my pro career,” he said. “I didn’t weigh in a fish. I caught a couple shakers but that was it. The fishing just completely changed for me from one day to the next…”

Big Boy will hang around Beaver Lake for another week or so to take some sponsors fishing and compete in a kid’s charity tournament before he moves on.

The next FLW Tour event will take place June 14-17 on the Potomac River in Maryland. Fred expects to do well at that event as it should fish very much like the California Delta with which he is very familiar.

“It should be fun…big bass and plenty of frog fishing,” he said.
