Greetings from B.C., where we’re currently on the 2008 Steelhead Safari! Joining me this year are The Vinman and “Go Home” Kinne.
Despite the lowest water conditions I’ve ever encountered here in April, we had a nice first day of steelheading. Here are some of the highlights…
Kinne got the skunk off the boat with a 5-pound dolly and then got us officially on the board with the first steelie of the mission, this dandy of a buck that fought like a super charged freight train…
And then I got spanked by a nearly 20-pound chrome hen before redeeming myself with this nice girlfish:
VinMan had it handed to him early by a huge buck but rallied for a couple nice fish to the net like this bruiser…
Beautiful fish. I fish the Stamp River up there in beautiful BC. These photos make me want to pack my bags and fly north :)
