Okay, so they fight like a wet sock but I still like grayling for some reason — especially when they come in the extra-jumbo size like this pending all-tackle world record 4-pound, 12 ouncer caught on a nymph in Austria’s Steinfeld River on Nov. 25 by Adriano Garhantini of Rosegg, Austria.
This bruiser “sailfish of the north” was nearly a pound heavier than the current all-tackle record of 3 pounds, 15 ounces, which was taken in June 2008 from Finland’s Latasenojoki River. The paperwork for Garhantini’s big fish is currently being reviewed by the International Game Fish Association’s records committee.

Where are his hands? I.e – how is he holding it, by its pectoral fin?
