Photo Essay: The Amazing Places Fish Live

Unnamed coho creek, Cordova, AK

Why do we fish? One of the big reasons for me is to have the opportunity to visit some of the amazing places that fish call home. Here’s a look at some of my favorites…

Striperville: Beaver Slough, Mokelumne River

Confluence of the Mad River and its North Fork

Evening storm over Mt. Konocti, Clear Lake, CA

Glassy Morning, Gull Cove, AK

Famous Blake's Riffle, Lower Klamath River

Sunset over Mt. Diablo, San Joaquin River, CA

Calm Water...Tahoe Pines, Lake Tahoe, CA

Upper Trinity River

Fish Creek on Douglas Is., Juneau, AK

Steelhead Nivrana, British Columbia

I love Blakes Riffle, to bad the Klamath Glen has turned to trash. I spent 4 complete summers in the glen at Terwar park 1980 – 1983. Now it full of crackheads. My Grandfather was a 30 vet of the Klamath and the only lure he ever used was a copper colored Little Cloe 2/5 oz.

That was the good old days.

Very nice. A fisherman’s eye is drawn to the water.
