tyler says
Andy is right the world record is 22 pounds 4 ounces caught in georgia in montgomery lake. i think its dried up now..
JD says
Tyler and Andy, you guys are right…but to get you guys up to speed…this bass weighed more than George Perry’s fish, but was foul-hooked and thus not considered a record. However, the fish caught in Japan a year or so back is now officially tied with Perry’s record.
abby says
no its not its 25lbs caught down in florida
rusty says
kerry your just mad because you didn’t catch it. and hes not holding it far enough away awy from his body!!!!!!
Joey Dowler says

e-fisherman says

JD says
Bare Hands :)
andy smith says
im sorry, it was goerge perry, and the record was set more than 50 years ago.
fishwithjd says
Perry is the current record holder, though that fish from Japan a couple months back was actually a tad heavier. This Dixon Lake fish weighed 25 pounds but was foul-hooked and not submitted for record status…
andy smith says
false, if that bass was 25 pounds, that would be the world record.
the real world record holder was perry washington and it was 22.4 pounds, caught in goergia.

You gotta read the whole story, Andy!

christian says

Jimmy says

Casey says
this aint a trick… The fish’s name was Dottie, she weighed 25 pounds and she had been caught twice by the man in the picture while she was alive. When she died, a game warden found her floating on top so he called the guy in the picture to come confirm that the dead fish was in fact “Dottie”. He took this last picture of Dottie after she had died. There was an ESPN special on tv a few weeks ago about this man and Dottie. They gave official weights there and everything.
kerry stamps says
If this really was a record it should give length and weight. Also it is an old fishermans trick to hold the fish away from your body when taking the picture. it looks bigger that way
Brandon Howell says
how long was it and how much did it weigh!!!
