Stormy afternoon on Clear Lake

March 22, 2011 By JD 6 Comments

Photo: Fred Contaoi

Nor Cal has been getting hammered by storms this week…which makes for some lousy fishing. On the bright side, however, you get treated to some dramatic scenes like this one our pal Big Fred Contaoi shot with his iPhone on Clear Lake the other day.

Doesn’t this look like one of those photos on a motivational poster — the kind you see on the walls in the reception area of many businesses — ya know, with some sort of catchy phrase like “The greater the struggle, the sweeter the reward…” or something like that.

In any case…great shot, Big Boy! Thanks!

Rudy..catfish docks..haha..as a kid I used to swim around those piers and reach into the tires they had hanging down from them for boat bumpers..they usually had cats in them..you slowly reached in until you could tell which end of the cat you had..then catch them and pull up your stringer you had tied around your ankle and put them on…try swimming with twenty catfish all trying to pull you some other direction..hahaha.

Another great photo. ! I have been on Clear Lake fishin’ in that weather. It’s tough but you still can hook into some bass. In most cases, the boat drenching is not worth it ! It can take many days to get the boat dried out. Any who, great photo on the #5 bass fishin’ lake. Don 4reelfishin.com
