This big alligator-jawed King slurped down my Yakima Bait MagLip yesterday like it was a pice of candy. You think he wanted it or what??
I’m blown away by how small the plug looks in this fish’s impressive yap!
Buzz is a mad scientist when it comes to getting lures to run properly and he’s been extensively testing the new plug with different hook configurations.

Good news for fans of the MagLip series of plugs! I had a nice long chat with Buzz Ramsey of Yakima Bait at the ICAST show in Vegas last week and he showed me the new MagLip 5.0 that will be in stores soon.
I already consider the smaller 4.5 version (M2 or K14 size) to be one of the best salmon plugs I’ve ever used and by far the ultimate flat-liner, so to add a larger (T50/K15 size) model to the lineup is exciting!
Buzz says they have made the new 5.0 with a little less rattle than the 4.5, based on feedback from anglers and it will come in a wide array of sexy colors.
He also said that the new plug has the same skipbeat action that its little brothers feature, and will dig deep even in really hot water.
Ask your local shop about the MagLip 5.0…it should be a deadly bait!

Next week, vote here for your fave — winning fish earns its captor a Yakima Bait prize pack and entry into the Hawg Bowl playoffs.
Lindsey Manning had to fend off some fierce competition in the May Hawg of the Month Contest but, in the end, her 30-pound Eureka, CA Chinook salmon received over 5,700 votes, propelling her to the win. For her efforts, she’ll receive a nice prize pack of lures, a shirt and hat from our friends at Yakima Bait. But that’s not the last of her you’ll see — Lindsey will also be making her first ever appearance in the Hawg Bowl Playoffs later this Fall.
